Paving and interlock

Blocks, kerbs, edging sets and tree grilles. The frame that protects the surface and the soft landscaping around it.

Paving does two jobs on a surfacing project: it carries traffic where rubber and resin cannot, and it edges the surfaces that do. We lay interlock drives, aprons and utility areas, and we design edging sets that lock a resin surface in place and keep planter beds where they belong.

The interlock system matters as much as the block. A proper sand bed, vibrated laying, jointing sand and edge restraint are what keep a paved drive from spreading and sinking. With Dubai's ground movement, they are not optional.

Combine paving with resin and you get the classic Gulf villa look: warm stone borders, crisp edging lines, and a permeable resin field between them.

The work

What we install

  • Interlock driveways, aprons and parking bays
  • Kerbs, edging sets and mowing strips
  • Pedestrian paths, walkways and entrances
  • Tree grilles and tree pits, paired with permeable surfaces
  • Step sets, borders and decorative bands
  • Repairs, re-levelling and re-jointing of sunken paving

The Gulf specifics

Built for the heat

Block colours fade when dyes are cheap. We use through-coloured concrete and natural stone that hold their tone in direct sun, and we lay on compacted bases with proper falls so monsoon season irrigation does not wash out the jointing sand.

Good to know

Questions we get asked.

Can you match my existing blocks?

Often yes. Bring a photo or a spare block to the survey. Where the exact block is out of production, we propose the closest match and show you a sample before you decide.

Interlock or resin for the whole drive?

Both work. Interlock suits utility areas and heavy point loads. Resin gives the seamless look. A common design pairs a resin field with block aprons and edging, and we quote the mix both ways.

My paving keeps sinking. Why?

Almost always the base: not compacted in layers, or no edge restraint. Re-levelling over a rebuilt base costs less than relaying twice, and that is what we quote.
